I know I am a little late at posting, but hey...what can I say?! Brad turned 30 in January also, so his wife (my bff) Liz and Brandon got together and planned a little party. We started out at Louie Louie's Piano Bar. I had never been to a piano bar, so I didn't really know what to expect - but I had a great time! Matter of fact, I want to go back! We hung there for a while and then we went to Cowboys and did some dancin'. We had a pretty good size group with us - probably about 25 people. Friends of mine, friends of Brad's and mutual friends.
Me and my handsome hubby!

Tammy and Joe came to the piano bar with us!
So did Brett and Nicole
Now we are at Cowboys!

Ft. Worth Stock Show
It was such a beautiful day today. Brandon and I went to the rodeo last night, but we didn't have time to walk through the exhibit hall - so we decided to go back today and walk around. We thought it would be fun to invite Brett and Mackenna to go with us. The girls had a ball!

Thanksgiving
I have so much to be thankful for! I have a WONDERFUL family, great friends, good job, good health and most of all, an amazing God!
I am writing this as we are on our way home from a QUICK trip to st. Louis to see my dads side of the family. (I have never posted from my phone, so I am not sure how this will turn out.) Kendall and I left Tuesday morning with my parents to go to granny and pa's. Brandon had to work all day Wednesday, since it is a 12 hour car ride, we had to go without him. Shane, Michelle and he kids were going to meet us there so that we could all be together. Shane called on Wednesday and said that Aisley had been throwing up all day so Michelle was going to stay home with her and he would bring Addison and Knox.
We get to he hotel about 10:30 Wednesday night and go straight to bed. We all get up yesterday morning and head to granny and pa's house so that they can see he kids, and the kids could see aunt Sue, Renee, Greg and cousin Dylan. We had a wonderful lunch...and birthday cake for the best mom ever! The kids played, the adults napped and watched football.
About 5 o'clock we all get ready to head back to the hotel. I was going to branch out and do a little black Friday shopping. (B really wanted this tv from best buy) while trying to get all the kids to sleep so mom and I could go, Addison starts throwing up. One thing led to another and a few hours later, Knox woke up sick, then Shane. Boy do I feel sorry for the housekeeping crew at that hotel!! We ended up with 3 seperate hotel rooms-pretty much one for each kid. Instead of passing all he germs on to everyone else, we decided to pack up and leave a couple days early.
We are now on our way back home and have about 2 hours left.

Not so Happy 30th
Brandon turned 30 on Thursday (10/27) and I had this great surprise party planned for him for Friday night. He had a softball game at 6 on Friday night and the guys were just going to bring him to Fat Daddy's in Mansfield after the game. I picked Kendall up from school after work, got the balloons and headed home to change. Kendall was so excited for "daddy's party". I planned on being at Fat Daddy's at about 6:30 since I told everyone to be there by 7.
I was getting Kendall in the car to head that way and my phone rang, it was Trever. (Plays ball with B and he was the one helping me get B to the party) he said "what are you doing?" I said "getting the car to head to Fat Daddy's." At this point, with the way he was talking, I was thinking that B was with him and the game was over early or something. Well, he said "everything is okay, stay calm. Brandon was pitching and got a line drive right in the forehead. He is okay, knows where he is, etc but he will need stitches for sure. You can take him to get stitches as soon as you get here." I instantly started shaking and my mind is going 100 mph. Is he okay? I have to get to the ball field NOW! Kendall needs to get in her car seat...NOW! All these people are headed to the party. What am I going to do? on and on and on. I get Kendall in her seat and get to the field as fast as I could. I pull up and the firetruck is sitting out front. I grab Kendall and take off running to find Brandon. (At this point, Kendall is cracking up because I am carrying her and she is bouncing all over the place and thinks I am just playing...little did she know.)
Of course they are playing on the field that is the farthest away. I spot Trever and then I see the stretcher. Then I panic! I gave Kendall to Trever and then I take off running to the stretcher as they are loading him in to the ambulance. Seeing him strapped down and all the blood, I was a wreck! I ride to the front gate in the back of the ambulance with him, then got out to get K and head to the hospital. I called my mom and dad to come get K and help keep me calm.
After waiting in triage for a while, they finally got a room for him. We went back there and the nurse looked at it said "oh, that's a good one." Really....you don't tell a nervous wife that. LOL. They said that he would need stitches and a CT scan since it was a head trauma. He was a little more at ease, because he finally had a tv and could watch the world series. They took him back to do CT scan and then came back and waited for the results before they would stitch him up. Results came back good. They said everything was negative and nothing was fractured or broken or anything. PRAISE THE LORD! 8 stitches later, we are home and healing.
I wasn't quite the surprise party I had planned for him!
Thank you's: Trever, for calling me and keeping me calm. Monica, for running Kendall to me after I got out of ambulance. Mom and dad for coming to get Kendall and helping me relax. Julie, Mitch, Brett and Nicole for hanging out at the party to let people know what was going on when they got there. And everyone else for all the prayers, well wishes, texts and calls. Our God is a healer!
I love you Brandon, but please don't do that to me again! ha

Back in the room and nurse is looking at it
Just got the "numbing needle" so she can put the stitches in....that thing was LONG!!!!!!!!! Seriously, look how deep that thing is!
My phone died so I didn't get a picture of the stitches, but don't worry, I will take one when I change the dressing on it tonight. Here is one from today (day after incident)
****Edited to add more pics****
