T~W~O!

The twins are TWO....where in the world has the time gone? When we went for their 2 year check up, Dr. Hull said that both of the girls looked great and everything was following their curve that they created from the beginning. Landry is the bigger one - always has been. Usually, she has been about a pound or two ahead of Brynlee. Well this time, little miss chunky monkey was 4 pounds heavier than her sister! Landry weighed 24.4 lbs and Brynlee was 20.4 lbs. Landry is 2.5 inches taller than Brynlee too. Landry is 34 1/2 inches and Brynlee is 31 3/4 inches. These girls are getting so big.

Landry LOVES to color and she is very good about staying on the paper...Brynlee, not so much. ha. They both love books and love to read. Being outdoors is their favorite, so I am glad the fall weather is making its way in. Landry is very mild/calm mannered and is content when left alone. Brynlee is our high maintenance girl! She has started throwing the biggest fits and screams/screeches when she's having "a moment". Brandon and I get tickled each time she does it because yes, she is little, but she is fierce! There is never a dull moment around our house these days!

Here are a few pictures from their birthday party we had at the house.

Kendall and Kinsley

It's so hard to get them both to look at you at the same time...especially with all the distractions they had around them!
Brynlee wanted nothing to do with opening presents, so Landry opened everything.
Her cute little pj's that Grammy got.

They love the dolls that Cole got them!

The strollers that nana got were a huge hit!

Beach Vacation 2014

I am a little late posting this, but hey, better late than never, right?! Every year we (my whole family) goes to the beach the week of July 4th. For the past 10+ years we have been going to Surfside, Texas with moms side of the family. This year, everyone wanted to try something a little different. We took the plunge and drove to Dauphin Island, Alabama. The drive was longer, obviously, but it was well worth it!! The beach was the white powdery sand and the water was much more clear than Surfside. It was beautiful! Our house was right on the beach, so the kids could go down and play while we sat on the porch. The special part to our trip was that Granny, Pa, Renee, Dylan and Hudson got to come! We have never been on a vacation like that with them and I think everyone enjoyed it! We drove from DFW, Shane, Michelle and the kids drove from Indiana and Granny, Pa, Renee and the boys drove from Illinois. Kendall loved playing with her cousins, Landry LOVED the beach...Brynlee....not so much!
Here are some pictures....in no order what so ever!

Slow down and give God the Glory

As I rushed around this morning to get ready and get Kendall up and ready (someone was up late last night) I was getting a little frustrated because she was sleepy and not moving as fast as I wanted her to, I was quickly reminded to slow down and give God the Glory that He deserves! Kendall is a great big sister and really wanted to see "sisters" before we left for school, so I let her. Again, I told her to hurry! Those girls were all smiles! It really melted my heart to see everyone so happy this morning, especially since I never really see Brynlee and Landry before I go to work in the mornings because they are still sleeping when I leave. Nana brought the girls outside to say goodbye to Kendall and I as we drove off to school and work. I open the door for Kendall to get in the car and there is a little red ladybug sitting there. Good luck, huh?! Sweet little Brynlee is sitting on the porch just waving with that big grin on her face! As we were pulling out and on our way to school, Kendall said "mommy, I just love sisters. They are sooo cute!" Again...God telling me I need to slow down, because there will come a time when these sisters don't get along well. We turn off our street and this is the sight we see on the way to school....(straight from my phone -no edits!)

How beautiful is that?! I am not really one to comment on clouds or the sun or nature, etc....but I was just "awe-struck" by this! We got over the hill and on the left side, there was a rainbow! I didn't get a picture of it until I was closer to work, but here is the rainbow...

A ladybug in the car, God's beautiful creation in the sky and then a rainbow...I would say it's going to be a good day! Remember...slow down and enjoy the life that is given to you and the people in it! Love to all!
